Best read of the month: "Schadenfreudarama: ...In every tale of hubris, the transgressor is eventually slapped across the face with the semi-frozen flounder of reality." And more on rampant navigator fraud:
POTUS has two main jobs. (1) being the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, and (2) executing the laws that have been passed by Congress. Instead, the POTUS currently in office: reads teleprompter speeches, is absent when things happen that he later reads about in the NYTimes, goes to fundraisers and celebrity shows and on vacation, throws lavish expensive parties, and plays golf. He plays video war games with drones, killing 10 civilians to every combat target. He shakes the hands of military personnel who salute. He employs feeble rules of engagement that have killed multiple times more men in Afghanistan under his watch than were killed in the entire Bush presidency. He uses appointments and personnel like pawns, even destroying the careers of Generals, such as the one whom he appointed head of the CIA. He is in parts unknown (with Reggie?) when an Ambassador and American heroes are murdered in Benghazi. He appoints people to office for political expediency rather than competency, and keeps around and gives unwarranted power to unappointed "advisers", such as one born in an enemy country. He lets the NSA run wild spying on citizens and friends, domestic and foreign, but somehow fails to catch, deport and/or timely prosecute terrorists such as the Fort Hood shooter, and the Boston bombers. He lets fraud, waste and corruption burgeon to historic proportions in HHS and other federal agencies, and in various programs such as Medicare and Medicaid. He uses the IRS and the ATF and the EPA as his political henchmen. His Justice Department fails and refuses to investigate or indict "special interest groups" and refuses to enforce laws POTUS just doesn't like. He is a pathological liar for whom the liberal media and the White House barker-in-chief spin and cover, and his lying and posturing go back his entire largely undisclosed life. In violation of equal protection, he exempts his political supporters from the enforcement of laws, while targeting his political opponents for doing little or nothing wrong. He spends taxpayer dollars for bribery, such as money funneled to his Obamacare navigators and Stimulus payola to campaign contributors who launder it through corporations destined for bankrupcy. He turns his former campaign machine into a fund-raising organization, OFA, that is an obvious conflict of interest. He claims to know nothing about the multiple and multifarious scandals that have plagued his administration, and neither do his appointees. He threatens the press. He bows to a Saudi king. He plays cards with a companion while (finally) allowing a raid on bin Laden, then does a peacock walk down a red carpet to take credit for his ostensible Oscar-winning performance. He illegally uses our military to invade a country without Congressional authorization. He astronomically increases the unemployment rolls and the food stamp rolls and government entitlements. He increases the federal debt more than all prior presidents combined. He blames everyone else for everything that goes wrong, while taking actual hands-on responsibility for none of it. And he presides over the biggest administrative fuckup in the history of the United States. (All the while FLOTUS traipses around at taxpayer expense, bedecked in getups that look like they came from Walmart clearance racks, with an entourage reminiscent of that of the wife of a third-world dictator.) ...except, of course, personally killing bin Laden. (If you heard that he was out of the War Room once the photo op was over, and playing cards with one of his boys, just forget about that.)
Meanwhile, The Hamas Charter. Read it. What liars look like:
How Obamacare is already destroying people's lives: a must-read compilation of emails by Matt Walsh from people across America. Young, old, married, single, healthy, sick, without children, with children, employed, unemployed.
Stand with Ezra: "After Ezra published the Danish cartoons of Mohammed, he was drawn into the bizarre world of Canada's human rights commissions, with their illiberal censorship laws and biased legal procedures. But instead of accepting that censorship, Ezra fought back -- at first, for himself and his magazine, but then for all of Canada, leading the charge to strengthen freedom of speech. His 2009 book on the subject, called Shakedown: How our Government is Undermining Democracy in the Name of Human Rights was a national bestseller, and the winner of the Writer's Trust of Canada 'Best Canadian Political Book of the Last 25 Years'... More at Legal Insurrection.
Download the third DCA court decision on out-of-control parenting coordination, and order to recuse the biased judge who relied on him. Good work, Lisa!

How many extra, unnecessary man-hours have been paid for to put up barricades amd security guards at places such as Mount Vernon, which is privately owned, as well open-air, customarily unmanned parks such as the Veterans Memorial (more security there than was at Benghazi). Any possibility that the National Park Service will cease its unconstitutional promotion of Islam? (And where did THAT slush fund come from, and what does this have to do with the national parks?) How many man-hours to post propaganda notices on federal government websites (as if files sitting on computers cost money). Bullshit such as closing military cemeteries in foreign countries. The privately-owned restaurant in Constitution Hall in Philly that's been operating since the 1700s. Threats re the privately-funded Service Academy sports games for "optics", according to the Office of Management and Budget, OMB, which reports directly to the President. All faux. Apparently the real repercussions aren't sufficient. (Wall street doesn't care; the stock market went UP the first day of the shut-down.) The longer this goes, the better -- we'll see how much we don't really need. Barry, of course, is off on another trip. [UPDATE: cancelled. Haha...] From Larry Johnson at No Quarter: "Obama is spending your taxpayer dollars to post a guard at a monument [Lincoln Memorial] that normally is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and does not require any kind of controlled access. To now set up barricades to prevent people from visiting these public sites is beyond petty. This is outrageous. It is one thing to close the American History museum at the Smithsonian, which is a building you must enter and houses artifacts that, if not closely guarded, could be stolen. But that's not the case for the Lincoln Memorial or the Vietnam Memorial or the Jefferson Memorial or the WW II and Korean War memorials. This is just pure vindictive chickenshit on the part of Obama and his group of thugs." HAS MICHELLE ANTOINETTE LAID OFF HER ENTOURAGE YET? [Update: read Thomas Sowell on the simple question of who shut down the government.] [Further UPDATE, per Mark Levin 10/03/13: the President is yammering in the media about the unrelated debt ceiling, and "default", preparing to unilaterally seize control of the finances of the United States, which would destroy the constitutional balance of powers. Obama thinks he's a fucking dictator, and the ignorantii are encouraging it, a "full-blown constitutional crisis".]
Sarah Palin editorial at Breitbart is worth a read in its entirety. A few snippets: Let's be clear. Republicans in Congress aren't advocating a government shutdown. That's why they voted in the House to fully fund our bureaucracy while defunding Obamacare... We're now, once again, subjected to the "anonymous sources" backstabbing game. The Capitol Hill cowards are rushing to anonymously denounce Senator Cruz to any reporter with a pad and pen...
Contrary to the breathless idiot anti-gun media reports (nincompoop Piers Morgan leading the pack, but also MSN, Daily News, et al.), rushing to get the story out, it wasn't an AR-15. It was Trazodone (PDF), aided and abetted by the sick-fuck rule that military personnel, such as unnecessary victim Marty Bodrog (more) aren't permitted to be armed on military bases.
Enough! Is there no end to the scandals, the corruption, the incompetency, the screwing of the economy, and the undermining of the United States? Benghazi and the previous gun running operations were bad enough. But now Obama knowingly is arming Al Qaeda contrary to U.S. law: Not only did we continue to dump weapons and cash on the Muslim Brotherhood leadership of Egypt (and their politicians are openly talking about war with us), but now Obama is planning on giving arms to the Syrian rebels in the civil war against Assad... Is there no end to the cognitive dissonance and delusions of those who keep spinning the facts and defending this man? I used to think that Carter and Bush II were bad presidents...
So what's new?
An odd and offensive lack of media coverage of the extraordinary event. Here's their FB page: https://www.facebook.com/2MillionBikersDC
Try to act "in the know" talking or writing about a subject you really know nothing about, say law or medicine, by using an acronym you have just plucked out of your ass or by using a real acronym unnecessarily and/or in the wrong context. This is related to How to irritate liz, Method #98: Use acronyms, especially newly invented acronyms, freely, liberally and completely unnecessarily, which acronyms you don't define (or you do define but there are so many of them that who the hell can remember all the definitions) and you do this because (a) you think that faux codespeak makes you sound hip and cool, or (b) you're a low-level bureaucratic or public education nincompoop who has been indoctrinated by nitwit-speak training materials you actually took seriously, or (c) you are in fact a nitwit. Also see, How to irritate liz, Method #42: Tell me gossip about people I don't know (and wouldn't be interested in if I did), referring to them only by first name and without any context even making an attempt to tell me who they are and why I should give a shit.
Interview on Bill Moyers with Andrew Bacevich, "who served for 23 years in the military before becoming a professor at Boston University. His new book, Breach of Trust: How Americans Failed Their Soldiers and Their Country, asks whether our reliance on a professional military rather than a citizen's army has lured us into a morass of endless war -- a trap that threatens not only our global reputation but democracy itself." (Prof. Bacovich, USMA grad, has been a vocal critic of our invasion of Iraq.)
At Breitbart: While Syrian President Bashar Assad is certainly a ruthless dictator, the forces aligned against him are dominated by jihadis and elements of terrorist organizations. Cruz noted that Americans didn't enlist in the military to "serve as Al-Qaeda's Air Force."
